This book didn’t disappoint me. After finished degradation I couldn’t wait to read this so I purchased it straight away. I was quickly immersed in to the story.
so this part, as the title reveals is about what happens after things go crazy and they both walk different ways. This time Tate is determined to not forget what Jameson is actually capable of. She’s eager to remember that he in fact is the devil incarnate and will never change. She doesn’t want herself to ever let herself be driven to play his games with him and she finds herself finally coming to her senses. But it’s all good and well for Tate telling herself what’s right and what she should do, but can she stop herself from getting absorbed into Jameson’s life once again?
It took a lot of trouble to get you here. The least you could do is smile, baby girl.
Honestly, Tate seems to have completely reformed from her previous self in this part. almost as if she’s determined to become something she isn’t because as much as she enjoyed her time with Jameson reality finally caught up with her and she has to constantly remind herself of what he’s done. So she’s bitter, she’s not at all like her previous carefree self, the girl who dealt with everything light heartedly. And boy I wanted her to return to her former self, she was much more fun than the bitchy, bitter woman she’s become now!
I kind of hated her feeling so sorry for herself, it started getting old. She was quick to blame everyone else for her sorrows, as if that was easier than admitting the fact that people do in fact make mistakes. everyone close to her is always there for her; Ang, Sanders even Jameson but she’ll never really realise it completely. She just always needed someone to blame and throw her a pity party. And yes, sometimes it feels like Jameson isn’t the devil but her. Because this time around Tate is the one playing games while Jameson seems to have redeemed himself in my eyes. And I feel that Tate is going to turn out doing something that will destroy every relationship she has with all the people who love her. I really hope it doesn’t come to that, I don’t want to end up hating Tate!
I mustn’t forget to point out that Sanders was probably one of the biggest highlights of this book for me. There was so much of it! It was completely adorable. If you’ve read book one you know how I feel. I swear ya’ll have to read this book, if not for anything else then him.
In terms of my enjoyment of this story, yes I did indeed enjoy it. Obviously, no book is as good as the first but I really did adore it. I love this story, the theme, the writing style that has you wanting to laugh and cry. I just can’t believe I have to wait a little longer for the third book to be released! Saying I’m excited would be putting it lightly. I am excited x 10. I cannot wait to find out what happens next because I already know, there is definitely going to be a lot of drama. I highly recommend this series from what I have read so far, definitely a fun read.
This is not a game. She is so much more than a game. Maybe she always was….
