Purchase this: AMAZON UK l AMAZON US

My Rating: 4 stars out of 5

Genre: New Adult, College, Humour

This has been a fun, much needed read. It’s quirky, full of sarcastic humour and honestly, what’s not to like about that?

There are some college books out there that are just so ‘meh’. Yes the popular jock (I don’t really get American slang to be honest) and the Artsy female lead falling for each other. Sound a bit high school musical-ish to anyone else? But then honestly, I don’t mind those story lines as long as it’s done correctly, and by correctly I mean in a fun kinda way. And well, hats off to Elle Kennedy because she succeeded in writing that kind of book!

I am a complete sucker for a good ole banter. Man the conversations between Hannah and Garrett are down right hilarious. When they first meet Hannah does not dig him like at all. She spits venom at him all the time and being a good natured man he laughs it all off, and never backs down in getting what he wants from her; which is just to tutor him of course. But honestly, there’s just something about this book that guarantees you a splendid reading time. Hannah is one of the most quirkiest female characters I have met.

“Oh my God. You know who that is, right?”
“It’s Garrett Graham.”
“I know,” I answer dryly. “That’s why I said yep.”
Lisa looks outraged. “What is wrong with you? Why aren’t you freaking out right now? Garrett Graham s sitting in your booth. He talked to you.”
“Holy shit, he did? I mean, his lips were moving, but I didn’t realise he was talking.”

You know what I mean?

Our main heroine in this one is just something else.

I burst into the locker room and –
Sweet Jesus.
Penises everywhere.
Horror slams into me as I register what I’m seeing. Oh God. I’ve stumbled onto a penis convention. Big penises and small penises and fat penises and penis-shaped penises. It Doesn’t matter which direction I move my head because everywhere I look I see penises.

All I can say is that I definitely do recommend this book. I mean, I’ve read plently of serious books recently and I guess this was just the kind of thing I needed at the moment. It’s bound to make you laugh and immerse you in to it’s own little world. It’s bound to be fantastic read for you, just the perfect setting and layout of a good new adult read!

I never expected her. Sometimes people sneak up on you and suddenly you don’t know how you ever lived without them.
