My Rating: 5 stars out of 5
Genre: Suspense, Romance
Sometimes, you come across a book which just makes you think so damn much and you completely get immersed in to it’s message and everything that it represents. This was definitely one of those books. I have no idea how some people would feel about it, but for me it was so special and I may have delved into it a little too much.
Connection to a story is always the key part of loving it. I connected to Senna in a way that I completely understood her situation and her life. I understood why she was the way she is, it’s just life, and it makes you think about the choices we as people make. Sometimes it’s just easier to keep a distance from others, less chance of getting hurt if you let know one in, but it’s also difficult to be happy with anything that way as well. Nothing major happened to Senna. It was the simplest of things, yet relationships were too hard for her to handle so she chose not to have any. It shows that we’re only human, and we try our best to cope with the pain that comes with loving.
I think when you see a story which represents you so well in many ways, it’s difficult not to see it in a whole different perspective. I had so many questions running through my mind while I read this which weren’t necessarily related to the story, but this book just made me think about life in gerenal. I think it’s due to the way it is written, I don’t really know how to explain it but the style makes you feel so many emotions. I loved and cherished and enjoyed every minute of it.
Hands down, an emotional, sometimes hurtful book but one of the best I have read. I will most definitely rate this a 5. The talent that Tarryn Fisher possesses is unreal. She just changed my life. Thanks for making me realise that I am a mud vein but it’s not necessarily a bad thing. It may not be an easy read, but if you can appreciate it for what it is, I guarantee you will love it.
