My Rating: 5 stars out of 5

Genre: Contemporary Romance

These are the kind of books a contemporary romance reader like myself lives for. I can completely see what the hype around this tale is all about and I’m glad I got to experience it myself. Claire Contreras has put together a wonderful story about lost love and past mistakes. There’s beauty and pain at each turn and I swear it makes you swoon as well. I can definitely say it’s hard not to fall in love with these amazing but flawed characters.

I fell in love with Jensen from the beginning. There are so many things about him that caught my attention. He was a writer for the first part. A man who can express his feelings in to words? Yes please. we need more men like that in this world. He was an old soul I would say. Although his appearances say otherwise, he was a really old school kinda guy. Tattoos and a motorcycle, but he wrote poetry. How in the word can I not be fond of that?

Even though it may have been Jensen’s character who professed some amazing words to Mia, we can’t forget it was in fact the writer who created those beautiful words in the first place.Claire was really outstanding, I mean I haven’t really read any other story of hers apart from this one but I’m not opposed to reading her works in the future. She brought such amazing characters to life and she gave us all a story with is heart breakingly and impossible to forget.

The most amazing thing was the bond which Jensen and Mia shared. Of course I sound like a silly little love obsessed girl right now, but I’d be lying if I said this book didn’t make me fee like one. Them two were just out of this world. Their characterisation, their past, their commitment… this story just shows that sometimes two people are just meant to be no matter what. I loved how amazing Jensen was with Mia and how he was never ever afraid to voice his true feelings. As cheesy as it may seem, his honesty was definitely admirable.

I think everyone should read this book. Go ahead, pick it up. You won’t be disappointed.
