Here is my list of my top 10 reads of 2015. It has been a long but eventful year for me in terms of reading! If you haven’t read any of these and our reading tastes clash, then please do give them a go!
1. Made (Sempre 0.4) by J.M. Darhower
There are certain books you read which have a way of getting in deep to you with their story and words. Made was an unforgettable read in every sense. I think everyone should read this.
2. These Are the Moments by Jenny Bravo
Again, some of the closest reads to me make me feel so much. I felt every sentence in this book. It is very real and very amazing. I’m glad I discovered Jenny Bravo.
3. Crushed (Redemption #2) by Lauren Layne
Lauren Layne is amazing period. But especially with this book, she gave us something unique. For one, she hits reality spot on by using a female lead who isn’t perfect in every way. There’s lots of humour so this book is sure to make you laugh.
4. Before We Were Strangers by Renee Carlino
This storyline in particular caught my eye, Renee Carlino gave me a read which left me breathless. Amazing!
5. If You Dare (Deanna Madden, #3) by A.R. Torre
So many things I hold dear about this one. It was a little different to those previous in this series. Deanna (the mc) faces even more intense obstacles (if that was even possible) and honestly, there was some very deep shit going on (what better way to put it?).
6. My Time in The Affair by Stylo Fantome
The reason I particularly loved this one was that the heroine was cheating. Not on someone who’s a dick, but someone who’s in fact an actual nice guy. AND I felt sorry for her! What?! How did Stylo manage to make me feel that way! Unbelievable writing that’s what.
7. The Blood & Roses Series Box Set (Blood & Roses, #1-6) by Callie Hart
Okay, so I sort of cheated with this one! I know I included 6 books in one, but in my defence, it was more like one long book with the box set. Like I literally didn’t even realise when one book finished and the next started. This is one of those that make it impossible for you to get bored whilst reading.
8. The Paper Swan by Leylah Attar
You know what the best part is, is that I received a signed paperback from the author as a secret santa gift on Christmas eve. How awesome is that?! This book is heartbreaking in places, it’s funny, its deep and it’s enjoyable from beginning to end.
9. Hero by Samantha Young
I recently re-read this and honestly it’s one of those where you have a hard time stopping reading it until you have finished the story.
10. Best Laid Plans (The Mercenaries #1) by Stylo Fantome
Stylo is my go to author. Everything she creates is an amazing piece of literature to me. I don’t think there has ever been a book of hers which I haven’t downright loved. So happy I was introduced to this by my amazing group ‘Shh’ on goodreads and so ecstatic that I was gifted this in honour of the buddy read.
