My Rating: 4 stars out of 5
Genre: Contemporary, Suspense
Moonshot is very different to Alessandra’s other books. It wasn’t what I expected it to be but not in a bad way at all. I like how Alessandra can write in many sub genre’s and still produce good content. That’s called being a talented author!
I was hooked from beginning to end. I’m not a sport fan, so I didn’t think I would love it. But it was more about the story than sport in general, which worked really well for me. I have even forgotten what sport was played in this book. But that’s beside the point because I LOVED this story.
Chase Stern enters Ty’s life very unexpectedly but he is someone she has always admired as a baseball player (I looked through the book again for the exact sport). At first she is determined to avoid him, there are her fathers warnings and also something pulling her towards him which she doesn’t want to discover further. But Chase pulls her in anyway, because have you met Chase Stern? I bet even you couldn’t stay away.
There is also a lot of mystery in this book, which again was a nice surprise. I wasn’t expected it but it was there and I thought it made the book stand out even more. When there’s something you know is about to happen, you just want to read on and on and figure it all out. That was me. I had my hunches which I was wrong about, the author surprised me again in the end. A fantastic layout of the story.
Overall, I would recommend this if you are looking for a little unique romance book. This book is not what it initially seems, there so much to uncover! This was read for last week buddy read over at Alessandra Torre’s goodreads group. Join us for fun things every week HERE!
