My Top 10 Reads of 2016

1. A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas

2. Empire of Storms (Throne of Glass #5) by Sarah J. Maas

28260587 I wanted to actually pick ALL of the books in this series because I read them all this year. However, as I am only supposed to pick 10 books for this year, I think I’ll choose to include the latest Throne of Glass book. Simply because it’s the one that left me feeling unfulfilled. I need more!

3. The Man I Love (The Fish Tales #1) by Suanne Laqueur

225156901Probably one of the most emotional books I read this year. I cried so much but I loved it! Every minute of it. It was beautiful. I am ready to dive in now to the next books and discover more of this story. I recommend this highly for everyone.


4. Swear on this life by Renee Carlino

23492533 This was a really beautiful, heart gripping tale about two long lost loves. It had a unique storyline and I was invested from the beginning. It made me feel like a bitch. I love Renee Carlino since she always writes the best love stories.


5. Behind The Hands That Kill (In The Company of Killers #6) by J.A.

261601341 This is one of my all time favourite series. There is always a lot of mystery and a fantastic plot line in each book. It makes you become so invested in the characters. One of my highlights was getting to know Victor a little bit more because that man is damn difficult to figure out!

6. Fuck Love by Tarryn Fisher

25828204Tarryn Fisher speak to my soul. Helena channelled my inner self in this story which is one of the reasons why I adored it. There’s nothing like a book which you connect with instantly.


7. Lady Midnight (The Dark Artifices #1) by Cassandra Clare

25494343This was a really well written book with a great storyline. There was always something going on. If you’re a fan of this author, there is no way you couldn’t love this. I cannot wait for book 2.


8. What Happens After by Portia Moore

what happens after by portia mooreI think Portia Moore is a fantastic author and she really knows how to dig deep with her characters. This is an emotionally heavy book exploring topics like cheating, loving and forgiving. I loved each and every character and this will forever hold a special place in my heart.

9. The Bad Ones by Stylo Fantome

28169714Stylo is one of my favourite authors and she always delivers something addictive to the book world. This book was weird as hell but gosh it was so good. I was obsessed with the writing and the story telling.


10. Target on our backs (Monster in his eyes #3 by J.M. Darhower

28670916This is one of my favourite series ever. I am actually obsessed with Ignazio Vitale. This popped up out of nowhere this year and it was the best surprise! There is never an ending with Naz and Karissa.


So there you have it, my top 10 reads of 2016! It has been a great book year but I’m looking forward to 2017 even more. I can’t wait to discover new reads. There are so many I am looking forward to. Happy new year guys!
