My Rating:

I am in love with this series.

In case I didn’t make it obvious enough in my previous reviews, I am in love with this story -line and concept. This magical world the author has created perfectly? Yeah, I love it.

I am so invested in Blue, Gansey, Adam, Ronan and Noah. All of them hold a special place in my book loving heart. The friendship like family which this book shows? I live for this. Their bond goes deep and they would all do anything for one another. RIDE OR DIE. Man, why are people nowadays in real life not like this?

Blue was perfectly aware that it was possible to have a friendship that wasn’t all-encompassing, that wasn’t blinding, deafening, maddening, quickening. It was just that now that she’d had this kind, she didn’t want the other.

I am also shipping Ronan and Adam so hard. Adam is slowly adapting to his new ‘powers’ (or whatever you would call them). It’s helping him become himself and not be so hateful anymore. Especially towards his friends. I love who he is becoming. Ronan will always be Ronan of course. I just hope he gets his happy ending.

His feelings for Adam were an oil spill; he’d let them overflow and now there wasn’t a damn place in the ocean that wouldn’t catch fire if he dropped a match.

So, Blue’s mother is missing because she went to make sure that the dangerous sleeper stayed asleep. Blue’s curse is still on and she is finding it more and more difficult to avoid her feelings for Gansey. Gansey can’t stay from Blue. Without kissing they are having their own little affair.

“I’m glad you misdialed.”

“Well. Easy mistake to make,” she said. Might do it again.” A very, very long pause. She opened her mouth to fill it, then changed her mind and didn’t. She was shivering again, even though she wasn’t cold with the pillow on her legs.

“Shouldn’t,” Gansey said finally. “But I hope you do.”

The quest is getting more and more dangerous. There are more people being drawn towards their little town of Henrietta and it cannot be good. There is a supposed curse (apart from the Blue kissing Gansey and he dies one) that they all keep running in to. They discover new caves where magic is intense but as dangerous as it is, they need to find Glendower still.

The magic and mystery surrounding this book has made it an incredible journey so far. I am obsessed with these characters and I just want to adventure with them forever!
